IIT Kanpur Launches USD 1 Billion Fundraising Campaign For Future Tech

IIT Kanpur is launching an ambitious USD 1 billion fundraising campaign, one of the largest in its history, to advance research in seven strategic areas including cybersecurity, medtech, and semiconductors. The institute has already raised half the target amount and aims to secure the rest over the next two-and-a-half years from government, industry, alumni, and other donors. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will officially unveil the campaign on October 14 in New Delhi. This initiative is crucial for supporting new research, infrastructure, and talent acquisition to maintain international standards.

आईआईटी कानपुर अपने इतिहास के सबसे बड़े अभियानों में से एक, 1 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर के फंडरेज़िंग अभियान की शुरुआत कर रहा है। इसका मकसद साइबर सुरक्षा, मेडटेक और सेमीकंडक्टर जैसे सात रणनीतिक क्षेत्रों में रिसर्च को आगे बढ़ाना है। संस्थान ने पहले ही लक्ष्य का आधा पैसा जुटा लिया है और अगले ढाई साल में सरकार, उद्योग, पूर्व छात्रों और अन्य दानदाताओं से बाकी रकम हासिल करने का लक्ष्य रखा है। रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह 14 अक्टूबर को नई दिल्ली में इस अभियान का आधिकारिक तौर पर अनावरण करेंगे। यह पहल नई रिसर्च, इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर और प्रतिभा अधिग्रहण को सपोर्ट करने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है ताकि अंतरराष्ट्रीय मानकों को बनाए रखा जा सके।
