Delhi Metro passengers are charged for using station toilets, a practice confirmed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The government stated in Rajya Sabha that toilet facilities are outsourced and operate on a payment basis. This arrangement is not illegal, and passengers must pay the nominal fees for usage. The Delhi High Court has also acknowledged this system, where agencies manage toilets for cleanliness and maintenance.
