IIT Delhi Scholar Dies 46 Days After Being Found Unconscious; Abetment Case Registered

A PhD scholar from IIT Delhi passed away on Saturday at AIIMS, 46 days after being discovered unconscious and injured at his rented home in Munirka Village. Police have registered a case of abetment of suicide under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The scholar was found with the door locked from the inside and was treated at AIIMS Trauma Centre until his death. This marks the third alleged student suicide involving IIT Delhi this year, with the previous two occurring on campus.

आईआईटी दिल्ली के एक पीएचडी स्कॉलर की शनिवार को एम्स में मौत हो गई। उन्हें मुनिरका गांव में उनके किराए के घर में बेहोश और घायल अवस्था में पाए जाने के 46 दिन बाद यह घटना हुई। पुलिस ने भारतीय न्याय संहिता के तहत आत्महत्या के लिए उकसाने का मामला दर्ज किया है। स्कॉलर को अंदर से बंद दरवाजे के साथ पाया गया था और मौत तक उनका एम्स ट्रॉमा सेंटर में इलाज चल रहा था। यह इस साल आईआईटी दिल्ली से जुड़ा तीसरा कथित छात्र आत्महत्या का मामला है, जिसमें पिछले दो कैंपस में हुए थे।
