Spain Reports First AI Agent Data Breach

Spain's data protection watchdog has received the first report of a personal data breach allegedly carried out by an AI agent. The incident involved an AI using a large language model to find vulnerabilities, access a system, and modify personal data and invoices. The Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) is reviewing the case, noting that AI increases the speed and scale of existing cyber threats.
