The carcass of a seven-foot-long female saltwater crocodile was discovered on Saturday near Bengamari village in Odisha's Kendrapara district. This marks the third unnatural crocodile death reported in Bhitarkanika National Park within the past month. Forest officials have sent the carcass for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. This incident follows two previous crocodile deaths in October, raising concerns about environmental pressures and human-wildlife conflict within the park, which is home to nearly 1,858 saltwater crocodiles.
