A debris-laden flash flood in Nepal's Gorkha district on Sunday swept away more than 35 houses and bridges, prompting authorities to urge residents along the Budhi Gandaki River to move to higher ground. The flood impacted areas including Salleri, Paiyuka, and Jagat, destroying a suspension bridge connecting wards. While no casualties have been reported, the cause of the surge remains unclear, with residents suspecting a landslide or blockage of a tributary. Helicopters have been deployed for rescue and relief operations as the river continues to rise.
