Trump Plans New Presidential Retreat At Florida Golf Club

BBC World · world

US President Donald Trump intends to establish a presidential retreat akin to Camp David at his upscale Florida golf club. The club would cover construction costs as a donation to the public and offer complimentary memberships to future presidents, along with accommodations for visiting foreign dignitaries. Trump envisions this new retreat as a convenient weekend getaway, located just two minutes from the airport. This initiative contrasts sharply with the rustic nature of the existing Camp David, marking another transformation of tradition by the president.
