Pilgrim Vehicle Plunges Into Drain; 8 Dead, 17 Injured

Eight pilgrims traveling from Madhya Pradesh to Rajasthan's Khatu Shyam temple were killed and 17 others injured when their tempo traveller veered off the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Kota district. The vehicle broke through a road divider and fell nearly 20 feet into a seasonal drain. Police suspect driver fatigue and excessive speed may have caused the accident. Rescue operations were swift, with villagers and emergency services assisting. The injured have been hospitalized, with some in critical condition.
