Commuters travelling towards Nashik and Gujarat are experiencing significant delays as the Kasarwadavli flyover on the Ghodbunder highway remains closed for over a month. The flyover, opened in July 2025, was shut in September after motorists reported defects in its side barriers. A structural inspection identified multiple issues requiring extensive repairs, forcing freight vehicles onto a slip road and worsening congestion. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) expects repairs to be completed by the end of this month, with the contractor likely bearing the costs.
