European countries are increasingly choosing Tamil Nadu for manufacturing and service facilities to serve global markets. A forthcoming India-EU Free Trade Agreement, expected in early 2027, will significantly boost Tamil Nadu's exports to Europe. The EU will eliminate duties on approximately 70.4% of tariff lines immediately, covering over 90% of India's export value. This agreement offers zero tariffs on key sectors like leather, textiles, and automobiles, positioning Tamil Nadu to enhance its export competitiveness and integrate further into European value chains.
