Assam Chai Bazaar conducted its first tea auction in Dibrugarh, bringing organised trading closer to the region's tea producers. The event saw participation from 18 buyers, with 61.33% of CTC Leaf lots and 63.16% of CTC Dust lots sold. The average price achieved was approximately Rs 207 per kg, which organisers described as extremely encouraging. This digital, brokerless platform aims to improve competition and price discovery for Assam's tea.
