Ten individuals were bitten by a stray dog near Old Market Road in Angamaly on Friday night and received medical attention for minor injuries. The dog has since been captured and is under observation by municipality authorities. Angamaly faces a growing stray dog population, estimated at 600-700, due to pet abandonment. While an anti-rabies vaccination drive occurred, the crucial Animal Birth Control Programme is stalled due to a lack of space for post-surgery housing.
