Bangladesh Should Sever Ties With Pakistan, Says SC Advocate Mohsin Rashid

Bangladesh should cut all diplomatic and other ties with Pakistan until democracy is restored there, stated senior Supreme Court advocate Mohsin Rashid. He warned that increasing security cooperation with Pakistan poses serious strategic and national security risks for Bangladesh. Rashid also criticized the treatment of military officers facing legal action after the 2024 unrest, emphasizing their role in protecting the nation. He further questioned the handling of human rights allegations stemming from the violence and cautioned against any harm to former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

वरिष्ठ सुप्रीम कोर्ट वकील मोहसिन रशीद ने कहा कि बांग्लादेश को पाकिस्तान के साथ अपने सभी राजनयिक और अन्य संबंध तब तक खत्म कर देने चाहिए जब तक वहां लोकतंत्र बहाल नहीं हो जाता। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि पाकिस्तान के साथ सुरक्षा सहयोग बढ़ाने से बांग्लादेश के लिए गंभीर रणनीतिक और राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा जोखिम पैदा होंगे। रशीद ने 2024 के हंगामे के बाद कानूनी कार्रवाई का सामना कर रहे सैन्य अधिकारियों के साथ व्यवहार की भी आलोचना की, और राष्ट्र की रक्षा में उनकी भूमिका पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने हिंसा से उत्पन्न मानवाधिकारों के आरोपों को संभालने के तरीके पर भी सवाल उठाए और पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री शेख हसीना को किसी भी नुकसान के खिलाफ चेतावनी दी।
