Landless farm workers and women from self-help groups in Hingoli, Maharashtra, have pasted 'house sale' notices on their doors due to intense loan repayment pressure. Many women borrowed from a micro-finance firm and claim harassment despite repaying most of their loans. They are struggling with instalments because of crop losses and a lack of regular farm work. Loan recovery agents are reportedly visiting their homes, leaving residents with no other recourse.
