British photographer Oscar Whitfield has won the Young Grand Title at the 2026 Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition for his striking black-and-white image titled ‘Labour of Love’. The photograph captures a dung beetle pushing a ball of dung uphill in Zimbabwe’s Zambezi National Park. Whitfield, who was 14 when he took the photo, aimed to highlight the often-unnoticed efforts within the natural world.
