लद्दाख के ग्रामीण इलाकों के लिए नए ज़मीन इस्तेमाल के नियम आ गए हैं। अब घर या दुकान बनाने वालों को इन नियमों का पालन करना होगा। चीफ सेक्रेटरी और डिविज़नल कमिश्नर के पास अब दो एकड़ तक की ज़मीन के इस्तेमाल में बदलाव की मंज़ूरी देने का अधिकार होगा। यह नियम नगर पालिका के बाहर की ज़मीनों पर लागू होंगे। इससे विकास के काम आसान होंगे और ज़मीन मालिकों को स्पष्टता मिलेगी।
