Norway is constructing the world's longest and deepest undersea road tunnel, the Ryfast project, spanning 14.5 km. The tunnel passes through challenging fault zones and rock formations, which have repeatedly allowed seawater ingress, complicating construction. This ambitious engineering feat aims to improve transport links between Stavanger and the Ryfylke region, reducing travel times and boosting economic development by connecting remote communities more efficiently.

नॉर्वे दुनिया की सबसे लंबी और गहरी समंदर के नीचे सड़क सुरंग बना रहा है, जिसका नाम Ryfast प्रोजेक्ट है। यह 14.5 किलोमीटर लंबी होगी। इस सुरंग को बनाते समय कई मुश्किल चट्टानों और फॉल्ट ज़ोन से गुज़रना पड़ा, जहाँ बार-बार समंदर का पानी घुसने से काम और मुश्किल हो गया। इस बड़े इंजीनियरिंग प्रोजेक्ट का मकसद Stavanger और Ryfylke इलाके के बीच आवागमन को आसान बनाना है। इससे यात्रा का समय कम होगा और दूरदराज के इलाकों को बेहतर ढंग से जोड़कर आर्थिक विकास को बढ़ावा मिलेगा।
