ED Files FIR Against Azam Khan Over Jauhar Trust Financial Irregularities

ED has filed an FIR against Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, concerning alleged financial irregularities within the Jauhar Trust and Mohammad Ali Jauhar University. The FIR was registered at the Azimnagar police station based on a complaint by an ED Deputy Director. Charges under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and the Indian Penal Code have been invoked. The investigation agency suspects discrepancies in the source and utilization of funds received by the trust and university.

ईडी ने जौहर ट्रस्ट और मोहम्मद अली जौहर विश्वविद्यालय में कथित वित्तीय अनियमितताओं के संबंध में रामपुर, उत्तर प्रदेश में समाजवादी पार्टी के नेता आजम खान के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज की है। ईडी के एक उप निदेशक की शिकायत के आधार पर अजीमनगर पुलिस स्टेशन में एफआईआर दर्ज की गई थी। प्रिवेंशन ऑफ मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग एक्ट और भारतीय दंड संहिता के तहत आरोप लगाए गए हैं। जांच एजेंसी को ट्रस्ट और विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा प्राप्त धन के स्रोत और उपयोग में विसंगतियों का संदेह है।
