The platform cited a legal complaint from a government entity for the restriction. Bhatia accused the government of suppressing truth and urged public support. YouTube stated it removes content to comply with local laws, offering Bhatia a recourse if he believes the restriction was an error. The specific legal grounds for the complaint remain undisclosed. Hotmail के सह-संस्थापक साबीर भाटिया ने भारतीय सरकार की कड़ी आलोचना की है, जब यूट्यूब ने भारत में उनका वीडियो 'हाउ मोदी एंड अडानी स्टोले इंडिया' ब्लॉक कर दिया। प्लेटफॉर्म ने इस प्रतिबंध के लिए एक सरकारी संस्था से मिली कानूनी शिकायत का हवाला दिया। भाटिया ने सरकार पर सच दबाने का आरोप लगाया और जनता से समर्थन मांगा। यूट्यूब ने कहा कि वह स्थानीय कानूनों का पालन करने के लिए सामग्री हटाता है, और अगर भाटिया को लगता है कि यह प्रतिबंध गलती से हुआ है तो वह अपील कर सकते हैं। शिकायत के विशिष्ट कानूनी आधारों का खुलासा नहीं किया गया है। टीएमसी सांसद महुआ मोइत्रा ने भी एक्स पर यह वीडियो साझा किया था।
