Jharkhand Limits Firecracker Noise to 125 dB(A) for Festivals

The Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board has set a noise limit of 125 dB(A) for firecrackers allowed for sale and bursting during festivals. This directive aims to control air and noise pollution during Diwali, Chhath, Christmas, and New Year celebrations. Specific timings have been allocated for bursting firecrackers, with violators facing action under various environmental laws. Ranchi authorities are also enforcing restrictions on unsafe firecrackers and ensuring safety measures at Chhath ghats.

झारखंड राज्य प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड ने त्योहारों के दौरान बिक्री और फोड़ने की अनुमति वाले पटाखों के लिए 125 डेसिबल (ए) का शोर स्तर तय किया है। इस निर्देश का उद्देश्य दिवाली, छठ, क्रिसमस और नए साल के उत्सवों के दौरान वायु और ध्वनि प्रदूषण को नियंत्रित करना है। पटाखे फोड़ने के लिए विशिष्ट समय आवंटित किए गए हैं, और उल्लंघन करने वालों पर विभिन्न पर्यावरण कानूनों के तहत कार्रवाई की जाएगी। रांची के अधिकारी असुरक्षित पटाखों पर प्रतिबंध लगा रहे हैं और छठ घाटों पर सुरक्षा उपाय सुनिश्चित कर रहे हैं।
