Artificial intelligence is expected to transform India's office space demand rather than reduce it, with the nation's office-using workforce projected to grow from 38 million in 2025 to 48 million by 2030. Continued expansion of Global Capability Centres and office-based services, shifting towards higher-value activities, will support demand. Despite AI automating routine tasks, office employment is expected to increase by nearly 9 million between 2025 and 2030. However, rising office supply may lead to higher vacancy rates, peaking at 16.2% in 2029 before easing.
