Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has criticized the central government over the prolonged delay in convening Parliament's monsoon session, which was adjourned. He noted that the current gap has surpassed previous records, with the last significant delay being 28 days in 2015. Ramesh also alleged that the government's attempts to pass delimitation bills failed due to a lack of consensus and opposition unity. He demanded the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner and suspension of officials to restore public trust in the election system.
