Students at a government middle school in Palamu, India, staged a unique awareness campaign against tobacco and drug abuse. A Class 8 student, dressed as Goddess Durga, used her trident to symbolically puncture balloons representing tobacco products like cannabis, gutka, cigarettes, and alcohol. The performance, attended by 116 out of 130 students, aimed to eliminate substance abuse from school premises. This initiative is part of a broader district-wide campaign covering over 2,900 schools, which has also involved raids and fines for offenders found selling tobacco near campuses.

भारत के पलामू में एक सरकारी मध्य विद्यालय के छात्रों ने तंबाकू और नशीली दवाओं के दुरुपयोग के खिलाफ एक अनोखा जागरूकता अभियान चलाया। कक्षा 8 की एक छात्रा, जिसे देवी दुर्गा के रूप में तैयार किया गया था, ने गांजा, गुटखा, सिगरेट और शराब जैसे तंबाकू उत्पादों का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले गुब्बारों को प्रतीकात्मक रूप से फोड़ने के लिए अपने त्रिशूल का इस्तेमाल किया। 130 में से 116 छात्रों की उपस्थिति वाले इस प्रदर्शन का उद्देश्य स्कूल परिसर से नशीली दवाओं के दुरुपयोग को खत्म करना था। यह पहल 2,900 से अधिक स्कूलों को कवर करने वाले एक व्यापक जिलाव्यापी अभियान का हिस्सा है, जिसमें परिसरों के पास तंबाकू बेचने वाले अपराधियों पर छापे और जुर्माना भी शामिल है।
