Varanasi Double-Decker Bridge To Be Named Namo Bridge

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the new signature double-decker bridge under construction in Varanasi will be named Namo bridge. The bridge, connecting Namo Ghat and Kashi railway station, aims to improve connectivity between North and East India. It will also facilitate easier access to the Kashi Vishwanath temple for pilgrims. The Rs 2,464.46-crore project features a lower deck with four rail tracks and an upper deck with a six-lane road, designed to decongest the rail network and enhance logistics.

केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने घोषणा की है कि वाराणसी में बन रहे नए सिग्नेचर डबल-डेकर ब्रिज का नाम नमो ब्रिज रखा जाएगा। यह ब्रिज नमो घाट और काशी रेलवे स्टेशन को जोड़ेगा, जिसका मकसद उत्तर और पूर्वी भारत के बीच कनेक्टिविटी को बेहतर बनाना है। इससे तीर्थयात्रियों के लिए काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर पहुंचना भी आसान हो जाएगा। 2,464.46 करोड़ रुपये की इस परियोजना में चार रेल पटरियों वाला निचला डेक और छह लेन वाली सड़क वाला ऊपरी डेक होगा, जिसे रेल नेटवर्क को सुगम बनाने और लॉजिस्टिक्स को बेहतर करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है।
