Indian stock markets plummeted to their lowest close this fiscal year on Monday, driven by a surge in crude oil prices and high US bond yields. The NSE Nifty 50 fell 1.56% to 22,780.25, and the BSE Sensex declined 1.48% to 72,771.72. This selloff erased over Rs 7.5 lakh crore from the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies. Renewed uncertainty over the Iran-US situation and rising crude prices were cited as primary reasons for the market's sharp decline.

सोमवार को कच्चे तेल की कीमतों में उछाल और अमेरिकी बॉन्ड यील्ड में बढ़ोतरी के कारण भारतीय शेयर बाज़ार इस वित्तीय वर्ष में अपने सबसे निचले स्तर पर बंद हुए। NSE Nifty 50 में 1.56% की गिरावट आई और यह 22,780.25 पर बंद हुआ, जबकि BSE Sensex 1.48% गिरकर 72,771.72 पर आ गया। इस बिकवाली से BSE-सूचीबद्ध कंपनियों के बाज़ार पूंजीकरण में 7.5 लाख करोड़ रुपये से ज़्यादा की कमी आई। ईरान-अमेरिका की स्थिति को लेकर नई अनिश्चितता और कच्चे तेल की बढ़ती कीमतें बाज़ार में आई तेज गिरावट के मुख्य कारण बताए गए।
