Haryana Power Strike Disrupts Gurugram, Faridabad; Thousands Affected

A strike by Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) workers has plunged Gurugram, Faridabad, and Nuh districts into darkness since Wednesday night, impacting thousands of consumers and industrial units. Over 3,000 outage complaints were received within 12 hours. The employees are protesting the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission's decision to grant a parallel electricity distribution license to a private company. Talks between Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh and the employees remained inconclusive, failing to resolve the strike.

दक्षिण हरियाणा बिजली वितरण निगम (DHBVN) के कर्मचारियों की हड़ताल के कारण बुधवार रात से गुरुग्राम, फरीदाबाद और नूंह जिलों में अंधेरा छाया हुआ है, जिससे हज़ारों उपभोक्ता और औद्योगिक इकाइयां प्रभावित हुई हैं। 12 घंटे के भीतर 3,000 से ज़्यादा बिजली कटौती की शिकायतें मिलीं। कर्मचारी हरियाणा विद्युत विनियामक आयोग के एक निजी कंपनी को समानांतर बिजली वितरण लाइसेंस देने के फैसले का विरोध कर रहे हैं। उपायुक्त उत्तम सिंह और कर्मचारियों के बीच हुई बातचीत बेनतीजा रही और हड़ताल का समाधान नहीं हो सका।
