सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने भारत सरकार को बाल श्रम (निषेध एवं विनियमन) संशोधन अधिनियम, 2016 के प्रवर्तन की निगरानी के लिए एक विशेष सेल स्थापित करने का निर्देश दिया है। यह अधिनियम खतरनाक उद्योगों में बाल रोजगार पर रोक लगाता है। महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्रालय को मुख्य सचिवों के माध्यम से राज्य प्रवर्तन एजेंसियों को निर्देश जारी करने का काम सौंपा गया है। अदालत ने बच्चों के अधिकारों की रक्षा के लिए बाल एवं किशोर श्रम अधिनियम, 1986 के संशोधित प्रावधानों का पूर्ण और सख्त अनुपालन सुनिश्चित करने पर जोर दिया। इस निर्देश का उद्देश्य विधायी परिवर्तनों को पूरा प्रभाव देना है।
