Jewellery stores across Kerala have agreed to implement a standardised pricing system for 18-carat gold, ending varying rates previously charged by different jewellers. This initiative, driven by the Kerala Jewellers Association Coordination Committee, will now calculate 18-carat gold prices proportionally based on benchmark rates for 22-carat gold. The move aims to eliminate arbitrary pricing differences and introduce transparency into the state's gold trade.
