Brigadier Mohammad Usman, who defeated Pakistan in the 1948 war, hailed from Mau, Uttar Pradesh. His ancestral home in the village of Bibipur now stands abandoned and in ruins, with only a caretaker present. The Indian Army has repeatedly requested the family to hand over the property to convert it into a museum showcasing Usman's legacy. However, due to the absence of direct heirs and family disputes, the transfer has not occurred. The house has remained unoccupied for approximately 70 years.
