Former Australian batter Mike Hussey has been appointed as a consultant coach for the national team. He will join the support staff for the upcoming Ashes series against England and the 2027 ODI World Cup. Hussey, nicknamed 'Mr Cricket,' will also assist the coaching staff during the current T20 series against England and the subsequent Test series against New Zealand. His role extends to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and the 2028 T20 World Cup, aiming to address the team's batting struggles.
