India's women's cricket team, after winning the Asia Cup for a record eighth time, opted not to receive the trophy from ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi. This decision mirrors a similar incident with the men's team at the 2025 Asia Cup. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia stated the board had informed organizers of their stance beforehand, citing a prior issue regarding the Asian Games prize distribution format.

भारतीय महिला क्रिकेट टीम ने रिकॉर्ड आठवीं बार एशिया कप जीतकर भी एसीसी प्रमुख मोहसिन नकवी से ट्रॉफी लेने से मना कर दिया। ऐसा ही कुछ पुरुष टीम के साथ 2025 एशिया कप में भी हुआ था। बीसीसीआई सचिव देवजीत सैकिया ने बताया कि बोर्ड ने आयोजकों को पहले ही अपनी स्थिति बता दी थी, जिसका कारण एशियन गेम्स में पुरस्कार वितरण के प्रारूप को लेकर एक पूर्व समस्या थी।
