Keralam's State Goods and Services Tax department is currently undergoing its Phase II reorganisation, incorporating process reforms recommended by the 57th GST Council. Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan stated that these changes, suggested by the council in October, will affect registration, returns, refunds, and enforcement. The reorganisation aims to enhance the department's functioning by redistributing existing posts and improving tax collection efficiency. A high-level committee has been formed to examine the proposal, with a focus on plugging tax leakage and leveraging technology for better operations.

केरलम का राज्य माल और सेवा कर विभाग वर्तमान में अपने दूसरे चरण के पुनर्गठन से गुजर रहा है, जिसमें 57वीं GST परिषद द्वारा अनुशंसित प्रक्रिया सुधारों को शामिल किया गया है। मुख्यमंत्री वी.डी. सतीसन ने कहा कि परिषद द्वारा अक्टूबर में सुझाए गए ये बदलाव पंजीकरण, रिटर्न, रिफंड और प्रवर्तन को प्रभावित करेंगे। पुनर्गठन का उद्देश्य मौजूदा पदों को पुनर्वितरित करके और कर संग्रह दक्षता में सुधार करके विभाग के कामकाज को बढ़ाना है। कर चोरी को रोकने और बेहतर संचालन के लिए प्रौद्योगिकी का लाभ उठाने पर ध्यान देने के साथ प्रस्ताव की जांच के लिए एक उच्च-स्तरीय समिति का गठन किया गया है।
