Kamaljeet-Suruchi Win Gold, Break Asian Record

Kamaljeet and Suruchi Singh secured India's second gold medal at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, by winning the 10m air pistol mixed team final. The Indian pair achieved a remarkable score of 484.6, shattering the existing Asian Record. They had previously broken the Asian Games Qualification Record with a score of 587. Kamaljeet was a last-minute replacement for Kedarling Balakrishna Uchaganve in the event. This victory adds to the gold won by the women's cricket team.

एशियाई खेल 2026 में, कमलजीत और सुरुचि सिंह ने 10 मीटर एयर पिस्टल मिक्स्ड टीम फाइनल जीतकर भारत को दूसरा स्वर्ण पदक दिलाया। जापान के आइची-नागोया में खेले गए इस मुकाबले में भारतीय जोड़ी ने 484.6 का शानदार स्कोर बनाकर एशियाई रिकॉर्ड तोड़ा। इससे पहले उन्होंने 587 अंक के साथ एशियाई खेल क्वालीफिकेशन रिकॉर्ड भी अपने नाम किया था। कमलजीत को केदारलिंग बालाकृष्णन उचगानवे के स्थान पर आखिरी समय में टीम में शामिल किया गया था। यह जीत महिला क्रिकेट टीम के स्वर्ण पदक के बाद आई है।
