Union Minister Considers Electronics Hub In Bengal

Union minister Jitin Prasada suggested that the central government may establish an electronics and semiconductor hub in West Bengal. He stated the state is at a pivotal point to realize its industrial potential, driven by trade and technology. Prasada assured cooperation in policy changes to foster industrial growth and urged businesses to leverage the 'double-engine government'. The Centre is also working on building necessary infrastructure and implementing digital clearances through a single-window system to streamline industrial operations.

केंद्रीय मंत्री जितिन प्रसाद ने सुझाव दिया कि केंद्र सरकार पश्चिम बंगाल में एक इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सेमीकंडक्टर हब स्थापित कर सकती है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह राज्य व्यापार और प्रौद्योगिकी से प्रेरित होकर अपनी औद्योगिक क्षमता को साकार करने के महत्वपूर्ण मोड़ पर है। प्रसाद ने औद्योगिक विकास को बढ़ावा देने के लिए नीतिगत बदलावों में सहयोग का आश्वासन दिया और व्यवसायों से 'डबल-इंजन सरकार' का लाभ उठाने का आग्रह किया। केंद्र आवश्यक बुनियादी ढांचे के निर्माण और औद्योगिक संचालन को सुव्यवस्थित करने के लिए सिंगल-विंडो सिस्टम के माध्यम से डिजिटल क्लीयरेंस लागू करने पर भी काम कर रहा है।
