Around 200 people are under medical observation in Russia's Siberia following the death of a 28-year-old researcher from severe pneumonia. The researcher worked at an anti-plague research institute and reportedly broke a test tube containing live bacteria before falling ill. While Russian health officials have not confirmed plague as the cause of death, local authorities are taking precautionary measures. The governor stated that all identified contacts are being monitored and show no symptoms, with lab tests returning negative.
