Times of India · technology
The Indian Army has ordered 225 First-Person View (FPV) drones after successful field trials, including operations at altitudes up to 17,500 feet. These drones were tested for endurance, accuracy, and speed in demanding high-altitude environments relevant to operations along the Line of Actual Control with China and the Line of Control with Pakistan. The move is part of a wider modernization drive, offering a faster, cheaper, and safer alternative to traditional logistics methods like foot soldiers and helicopters.
