Adityanath dared Yadav to file his nomination from Ayodhya, stating that they should both try their luck directly rather than fighting through their associates. He criticized the SP's past governance in Ayodhya, contrasting it with the current development and the revival of 'Ram Rajya'. Adityanath also predicted a 80-20 victory for the BJP-led NDA in the Uttar Pradesh elections.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने समाजवादी पार्टी के प्रमुख अखिलेश यादव की अयोध्या से आगामी विधानसभा चुनाव लड़ने की चुनौती स्वीकार कर ली है। आदित्यनाथ ने यादव को अयोध्या से अपना नामांकन दाखिल करने की हिम्मत दिखाई, यह कहते हुए कि उन्हें अपने सहयोगियों के माध्यम से लड़ने के बजाय सीधे अपनी किस्मत आजमानी चाहिए। उन्होंने अयोध्या में सपा के पिछले शासन की आलोचना की, इसकी तुलना वर्तमान विकास और 'राम राज्य' की बहाली से की। आदित्यनाथ ने उत्तर प्रदेश चुनावों में भाजपा के नेतृत्व वाले राजग के लिए 80-20 की जीत की भविष्यवाणी भी की।
