Karwa Chauth 2026: How to Complete Fast Without Seeing the Moon

TV9 Hindi · spirituality

Karwa Chauth, observed, requires married women to fast and offer prayers to the moon. If clouds obscure the moon, women can still complete their fast by worshipping Lord Shiva, as he is believed to carry the moon on his head. Alternatively, a moon shape can be created using rice on a red cloth, and prayers can be offered to this representation. These methods allow devotees to fulfill their vows even when celestial viewing is impossible. The festival emphasizes devotion and adherence to tradition.
