Centre Withdraws Cases Ahead of Ladakh Talks

Ahead of crucial talks scheduled for September, the Centre has initiated outreach efforts by withdrawing cases against protestors in Leh. This move comes after key civil society groups, including the Leh Apex Body and Kargil Democratic Alliance, submitted a list of non-negotiable demands. These demands included the withdrawal of pending cases against locals arrested following violence in Leh in September 2025.

सितंबर में होने वाली अहम बातचीत से पहले, केंद्र सरकार ने लेह में प्रदर्शनकारियों के खिलाफ मामले वापस लेकर पहल की है। यह कदम लेह अपेक्स बॉडी और कारगिल डेमोक्रेटिक अलायंस जैसे प्रमुख नागरिक समाज समूहों द्वारा गैर-समझौता योग्य मांगों की सूची सौंपने के बाद उठाया गया है। इन मांगों में सितंबर 2025 में लेह में हुई हिंसा के बाद गिरफ्तार किए गए स्थानीय लोगों के खिलाफ लंबित मामले वापस लेना शामिल था।
