केंद्रीय मंत्री चिराग पासवान बिहार के वैशाली जिले के रामपुर में नाव हादसे में मारे गए 13 बच्चों के परिवारों से मिलने पहुंचे। उन्होंने इस घटना को "दिल दहला देने वाला" और "घोर लापरवाही" का नतीजा बताया और जिम्मेदार लोगों पर कार्रवाई का वादा किया। पासवान ने इलाज करा रहे बचे लोगों से भी मुलाकात की और बेहतर आपातकालीन प्रतिक्रिया की जरूरत पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि अगर प्रशासनिक लापरवाही पाई जाती है, तो बिहार सरकार और मुख्यमंत्री को सख्त कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सूचित किया जाएगा।
