Chandigarh Admin Releases Rs 125 Crore Grant-in-Aid to MC Ahead of Civic Polls

The UT administration has released Rs 125 crore as grant-in-aid to the MC for October, November, and December. This financial boost arrives just before the civic polls scheduled for December, enabling the MC to expedite multiple development projects. The MC must utilize the funds within the current financial year and submit utilization certificates for completed works. Any unspent portion of the grant will need to be surrendered back to the administration. This funding is expected to significantly aid the MC in its development initiatives.

चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन ने नगर निगम को जारी की 125 करोड़ की ग्रांट-इन-एड, निकाय चुनाव से पहले मिली राहत

यूटी प्रशासन ने नगर निगम (MC) को अक्टूबर, नवंबर और दिसंबर के लिए 125 करोड़ रुपये ग्रांट-इन-एड के तौर पर जारी कर दिए हैं। यह वित्तीय मदद दिसंबर में होने वाले निकाय चुनावों से ठीक पहले आई है, जिससे एमसी कई विकास परियोजनाओं में तेजी ला सकेगी। एमसी को यह राशि चालू वित्तीय वर्ष के भीतर इस्तेमाल करनी होगी और पूरे हुए कामों के यूटिलाइजेशन सर्टिफिकेट जमा कराने होंगे। ग्रांट का कोई भी अनखर्च हिस्सा प्रशासन को वापस करना होगा। इस फंडिंग से एमसी को अपनी विकास पहलों में काफी मदद मिलने की उम्मीद है।
