Supreme Court Halts Trial in Twisha Sharma Death Case

The Supreme Court has temporarily halted the ongoing trial in the death case of Twisha Sharma. A bench led by the Chief Justice issued a notice to the CBI after the victim's father petitioned to transfer the trial to Delhi. The court stated that the trial proceedings would remain stayed pending a decision on the merits of the case. However, it directed that bail applications for Twisha's husband, Samarth Singh, and mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, be decided within two weeks.
