The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has announced an indefinite sit-in protest starting November 9, demanding action in the alleged Adoor police station attack case. Approximately 5,000 party workers are expected to participate on the first day. The party claims the incident, involving an alleged assault on a person in custody and intimidation of police personnel by a district panchayat member, constitutes an attack on the police force. Despite allegations of assault, only minor charges have reportedly been invoked, with the investigation gaining traction only after CCTV footage surfaced.
