Eight hearing-impaired women in Malappuram have established a stitching unit named 'Colours' in Nilambur, transforming their lives through vocational training. After completing an assistant dress maker course offered by Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS), these women, previously homemakers, are now earning their own income. This initiative allows them to contribute to household expenses and reduces their financial dependence on families. The JSS aims to empower women and persons with disabilities by providing skills that can lead to employment or entrepreneurship, fostering financial independence.
