Two-Term BJP MP Quits Party After Rajya Sabha Ticket Snub
Times of India · politics
Former two-term BJP MP Dharmendra Kashyap has resigned from the party's primary and active membership. Kashyap, who represented Aonla in Bareilly, alleged that those who worked against the BJP during the Lok Sabha polls were being rewarded. He also stated that backward and most backward communities were denied adequate representation and respect within the party. His resignation follows the BJP's nomination of Shruti Gangwar to the Rajya Sabha, a ticket Kashyap had reportedly expected for himself. The party has not yet commented on his resignation or addressed his grievances.
