Tata-Javelin JV to Co-Produce Missiles in India, Boosting Regional Security

Tata Advanced Systems Limited and the Javelin Joint Venture (JJV) have signed an MoU to co-produce Javelin missiles in India. This agreement follows the Indian Army's letter of offer and acceptance to purchase the Javelin anti-tank guided missile system from the US. The initial order includes 100 missiles and 25 launch units, valued at approximately $45.7 million. The collaboration aims to establish a final assembly and integration facility in India, enhancing regional security by ensuring a locally sourced supply of the weapon system.

टाटा एडवांस्ड सिस्टम्स लिमिटेड और जैवलिन जॉइंट वेंचर (JJV) ने भारत में जैवलिन मिसाइलों के सह-उत्पादन के लिए एक समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। यह समझौता भारतीय सेना द्वारा अमेरिका से जैवलिन एंटी-टैंक गाइडेड मिसाइल सिस्टम खरीदने के प्रस्ताव और स्वीकृति पत्र के बाद हुआ है। प्रारंभिक ऑर्डर में लगभग 45.7 मिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर के 100 मिसाइलें और 25 लॉन्च यूनिट शामिल हैं। इस सहयोग का उद्देश्य भारत में एक अंतिम असेंबली और एकीकरण सुविधा स्थापित करना है, जिससे हथियार प्रणाली की स्थानीय रूप से आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करके क्षेत्रीय सुरक्षा को बढ़ाया जा सके।
