Sharnbasva University's Department of Architecture has commenced the mapping of the historical Sharanabasveshwar Shrine and Mahamane in Kalaburagi city. This initiative, part of a workshop on measured drawing and documentation, aims to preserve the architectural heritage of the 18th-century saint Sharanabasveshwar. The Mahamane, where the saint lived and a lamp lit by him still glows, holds significant historical importance. Mahatma Gandhi also visited the Mahamane in 1927. The project was launched by the university's Chancellor, Dakshayani S. Appa.
