Turkey To Exit Northern Iraq Military Base

Turkey and Iraq have reached an agreement for Turkish forces to gradually transfer control of a military base in northern Iraq to the Iraqi army. This move comes after decades of Turkish military presence in the region, established due to security threats from Kurdish fighters. Baghdad has pledged to address the armed groups that Ankara identifies as a security concern. The agreement aims to de-escalate tensions and improve bilateral relations between the two neighbouring countries.
