TDP Wins Pulivendula Municipal Chairperson Seat After Four Decades

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has achieved a significant victory by winning the municipal chairperson seat in Pulivendula, a stronghold of the YS family, after more than 40 years. TDP candidate T. Geetha Kumari defeated YSRCP's Y.S. Prameelamma by a margin of 13,875 votes. In the municipal elections, TDP also secured 14 out of 20 contested wards, while YSRCP won three. The Andhra Pradesh High Court dismissed YSRCP's petitions for re-polling. Cases have been filed against 72 YSRCP leaders for alleged MCC violations.
