NASA satellite images have captured an unusual skull-like formation on Vega Island in Antarctica's Weddell Sea. The formation, created by natural geological features, resembles a grinning human skull when viewed from above. Recent images from NASA's Landsat 9 satellite also show significant areas of exposed glacier ice following an unusually warm winter. Glaciologists attribute this to above-average temperatures, limited snowfall, strong winds, and sublimation, warning that darker ice absorbs more solar energy, potentially accelerating melting.
